Other Republicans cannot accept you if they are too religious and find homosexuality to be wrong and immoral. And Democrats cannot accept you because they just cannot understand why you could ever be a Republican if you are gay. They just do not understand why you could associate with a political party that does not support gays. People just find gay and Republican to not mix well So there. Simple as that. Good for you though. There's certainly no reason why sexual orientation has to get in the way of what your true beliefs on politics and the best solutions to social and economic problems are. Good luck.

Because The Homosexual Agenda will infilitrate and destroy the Republican party like a trojan horse, just as it's done with other insititutions. Fortunately, the Scouts rejected you, 14 out of 15 states rejected you and the Republican party needs to do the same. Getting your foot into the door of the Republican party will help you push your "gay marriage" and other selfish goals, not the interests of the public.
Your cause is championed by Democrats and that's the party where you belong. Leave the Republicans alone. They do not need you and they do not want you.

Because many gays feel the GOP has not only abandoned them, but has stepped on the backs of gays and lesbians to "scare" americans into voting for a "moral" party. I don't see a party that ALWAYS cuts services to the poorest, oldest, youngest, and sickest members of society first as being moral, but heck, my partner is a republican too! I prefer to think Jesus was a liberal, and that a level playing field, health care to all and help for the poor should be pretty important Christian, i.e. moral, i.e. republican beliefs if they are the moral party! But hey, republicans can be good folks too, and so can gay ones!

Two words: Roy Cohn. Not only was he a gay Republican, but a flaming gay Republican (a flaming gay and a flaming Republican) who, by the way, hated gays. Yes, this means virulent self hatred. This deep quagmire was probably one of the contributing factors to his contracting (and subsequently dying of) AIDS. He couldn't face himself in the mirror and therefore he lied to himself, to his ultimate demise.
Why am I blathering on about all this? Because gay Republicans are in a state of blatant self-delusion and denial. Sorry to be harsh. But consider -- who is really pushing for a constitutional amendment declaring marriage to be a sacrosanct union between a man and a woman? Which party debates at every convention how exactly to word its stand against homosexuality?
Never mind the fact that gays want to be recognized as a minority group which faces discrimination and civil rights restrictions. Which party campaigns against what it calls "special rights?"
In my view, a gay Republican wants it both ways. Of course, if you don't believe in "special rights" either, and are content with aligning yourself with a party which contains a significant contingent which not only believes you are condemned to eternal Hellfire, but which considers you somewhat less than human (bestiality, anyone?), knock yourself out.

John Skerry, ha ha ha, what do you have against John Kerry anyhow? You know he actually probally won the election. Oh, just trying to see how ignorant people are? Hi John........I'm not conservative or liberal, I think it should be everyone for themselves. I also think that it should be a law that all free American citizens over the age of 18 should be required to carry a gun at all times. I think that would make our world a much nicer place to live in.

Unfortunately the NEOCONS have set the trend here with their intolerant behaviour to anything different. As a Humanist, I am only interested in the character of your being and not your political or sexual beliefs. I strongly believe all humans are equal, irrespective of race colour creed or sexuality.

I once knew a Gay republican who nobody would accept in his party, so he changed his party and became President. His name is Jimmy Carter. So hang in there and keep a stiff upper what ever, you never know.

Because American political society won't allow it. A gay republican is an oxymoron. I mean, really, could you see Ann Coulter as a lesbian?
This is why I'm an independent... I hate f***ing politics...
