1. Relax.
2. Be polite, courteous, diplomatic and civil.
3. Project positivity, hope and optimism.
4. Show strong interest in the job but in a relaxed way.
5. Explain why you are right for the job
and why the job is right for you.
6. List every aspect of the job/company/products/services
that you like and why you like it.
7. List the things about the job that would be good for you.
8. Be ready to list your top three strengths
should they ask about this.
9. Also be ready to list a couple of weaknesses
should they ask about this. But for each weakness
be prepared to explain how you manage your weakness
in order to get good results.
10.Prepare positive and constructive reasons
for every change of job in the past. Good reasons are
career progression, financial incentives, more challenge,
more responsibility, broaden skills, broaden experience,
try something different and looking for something specific
(name it). Hide any negatives reasons if you can.
But sometimes this is risky or not possible.
If you have to admit to being sacked
then come clean about what happened
and make it very clear that you have learned
from your mistakes.
11.Think about what is needed in the job that you are applying for.
What skills are needed? How would you go abou
doing the job? What would be your priorities? Do some
things need to be done in a certain order? What special
knowledge do you need? What skills and knowledge
do you have that would make the job a lot easier?
How could you improve things such as
efficiency, effectiveness and productivity?
What results are required? How do you cope with stress?
How do you cope with deadlines? How do you cope with
pressure? Can you work under pressure? How would you
handle a situation where it looked like targets and deadlines
were not going to be met? What team skills do you have?
What management skills do you have? How ambitious are
you?
12.Sell yourself as a hard working self-starter who has
no problems with self-motivation and be ready to explain
how you motivate yourself. Tell them you like being focused,
you like working hard and you like getting results because
it gives you a sense of achievement.
13.If you are good with people then say so and be ready
to say a little about how your people skills serve you
and others.
14.If you are good at listening, understanding and negotiating
then say so and mention examples of times when
these skills served you well.
15.Make a list of all of your employment successes and
be ready to share your best stories if you get
an opportunity to do so.
16.If you can think of anything that gives you an edge
over most other candidates then make a note of these
things in case you get a chance to mention them.
Sorry, I'm too tired to think of anything else. Martin Camden.

Do your research, learn as much about the company before the interview as you can. Before they mention the strong points of their company, tell them about the company and what you like about it. Tell them what things on their website or in their mission statement remind you of you.
It is impossible to be too arrogant during that question. There is nothing wrong with answering, "you should hire me because I'm the best person for the job. I gaurantee you you're not going to find a harder worker or someone who will dedicate themselves to this company more than I will."
Think about your first question and second question. Q1 asks about how to be confident, Q2 worries about being overconfident. No one wants to hire someone who doesn't believe in themselves, so don't be shy about pumping yourself up. Just be sure you don't use terms like "stepping stone" or "quick advancement", or they'll think that you're too good for the job.
Best Wishes, Good Luck, and Cheers!

I absolute hate that question and the one that is similar to it--"Why do you want to work for our company?" Just tell them you are looking for a challenging career with them and you think you have something to learn by working for them. It sounds good even though they know you might be giving them a line. If you are confident without going overboard then you should not sound arrogant. Good luck and hope you get the job

The word “interview” itself makes a person tense and nervous who needs to appear in the interview. It is normal human behaviour to become confused or get tensed but such things can be overcome with practice, learning from seniors and elders, thru own experience. At my time internet was not available. These days Internet is a rich source of information. U can learn many things about the interview by visiting the websites the links of which are given below. On some websites u will find questions also along with answers which are frequently asked and questions pertaining to ur requirement can also be found there provided u surf on them thoroughly and consciously. It will improve ur performance remarkably. If will infuse a high level of confidence in u. It will make u more frank and it will develop diplomatic qualities in u too. Overall, I would say that it will give an impetus to ur personality development.

1. do your homework. investigate the company. know what they do, how they do it, why and whatever else you can use to be informed.
2.arrive ON TIME. this shows you are in control of your time and respect for the interviewers time.
3. dress conservatively, neat and business like.
4. when you first meet, shake his/her hand (firm grip) "thank you for seeing me today mr/ms bla bla" use their name immediately and occasionally throughout the interview.
5. sit straight and look the interviewer in the eye. don't stare.
6. why did you leave your last job? be prepared with positive things to say about your last employer. never bad mouth them.
7. breath! remain calm. smile. respond confidently and truthfully.
8. as you leave, again extend your hand for a firm hand shake " i hope to hear from you soon" or "thanks for your time, pleasure to meet you mr/ms blabla"
9. the next day, send a letter of thanks. make it brief.
Why should I hire you?
this is where your homework comes in handy. because you can be specific about how or why you believe your expertise fits their
company. stick with how you fit the job then you will be less likely to feel you are arrogant. Your resume' should be in front of the interviewer.
Hope this helps. Best of luck.

Most importantly. Be Prepared.
Use your Resume and showcase what you know you can do & and have done well in the past.
Prepare examples of your work. (nothing confidential)
Dress up, with great suits or pantsuits from Ann Taylor Loft.
Turn off your cellphone.
Carry a folder with resumes and examples of work, and your planning calendar with pens and business cards.
Have your refences ready and typed to match your resume.
When asked tough questions answer honestly without modesty nor arrogance, simply state your attributes, Hard worker, quick learner, team player. and be prepared to give examples of each. also give an example of a "challenge" you faced and dealt with expertly.

Dear Friend,
America is a competitive world, and companies in America know that they can get the best, so you have to appear to be the ideal job candidate to that company. Keep in mind, companies differ in their favorite types of personalities...one company may value a go-getter type, a soldier type...another company may value someone who is a little more feeling...just be yourself at your best...(ask your parents if you need advise on how to act...if you feel that they are too old fashioned, then try watching the Apprentice TV show, hosted by Donald Trump)
