Would you let her parade herself, acting like an adult woman, shaking her hips, full of make up on her face?

It's mind-boggling how some parents would do this to their kids. Why not let them enjoy being a child? Play with other kids without having the responsibility to walk the cat walk?

If I had a daughter, not only would I not force her to join a beauty pageant, but I wouldn't LET her join one.

Would this have anything to do with the Jon-Benet case? To answer your question, no, I'd never force my daughter into a beauty pageant. I'd either forbid her all together or at least try to talk her out of it if she wanted to do it. I think they're dangerous on many different levels.

I wouldn't force my child into a pageant, but if it's something she wanted to try, I wouldn't be against it.

i would never do that.i think making your child do that is wrong and in some way child abuse.no one wants their little children looking like 17 year olds who wear cakes on their faces for makeup.i think it is horrible and unnexceptable

no i didnt, i didnt even suggest she do it when she was 21, she is herself and she did what was right for her, she wouldnt be in girl scouts either, so i didnt push, she played in mulch piles and chased cats.
