Police say Christian Coalition leader admits molesting girls
published Wednesday, August 16, 2006
The longtime leader of the Oregon Christian Coalition and staunch opponent of gay rights admits in a newly released police report that he sexually touched three underage girls years ago, despite denials of such behavior to a newspaper.
Lou Beres denied sexual-molestation allegations when the Oregonian newspaper first reported them in October. But a Gresham (Ore.) Police Department report released as part of a lawsuit said Beres "readily admitted sexually touching" one girl when she was 13 or 14 years old.

Beres also acknowledged sexually touching a 16- or 17-year-old friend of his daughter in 1976 or 1977.

Last fall, Beres said he would withdraw from public life while he fought the allegations. However, as late as last week, records show that he signed a $50 check on the Oregon Christian Coalition checking account to renew the group's business registration with the state

Hmmm....

Kinda lends credence to the theory that those who oppose Equal Status for GLBT people have a few sexual 'demons' in their uh... closets. (Sorry. The pun(s) couldn't be avoided.)

To be honest, I'm not at all surprised. Those found to be pointing fingers ALWAYS have three other fingers pointing directly at them. It's an old axiom, but often it's true ... as in this particular instance.

Best Wishes!

This can very often be the case with bigots - that they make alot of noise about issues it may be gay rights it may be women in the church, celibacy the list goes on! However they only do this to try and distract from who they really are and the sick and twisted life they lead.
This is should not become an attempt at Christian bashing as I believe we should all respect each others beliefs. This is making a point to the self righteous. That is don't try and claim to be whiter than white, because there is plenty of corruption and abnormal activity within any social, religious or ethnic group.

Figures, that group is one of the few that still say that gays molest kids. Maybe now they won't have as much clout! I'll be reading up on this!

Sick, sick, sick, sick!!!

Those poor women!!

It also shows that some people who talk about how bad LGBT people are for kids and 'the family" are pointing three fingers back at themselves as they point at us, definitely.

Pedophiles and perverts come in all shapes and sizes. This would include Christians and non-Christians, too.
