Happens rather often and the pain is located just under my ribs at the top of my heart. Inhaling is incredibly painful if not impossible.

Go to the doctor, it could be the first signs of a heartattack, stroke or heart disease or all of the above. This is nothing to play with. Also make sure it's not gas. Gas sometimes can mimick pains in the upper G.I. area and make it feel as though it is near your heart. But I would still get that checked out.

Have you recently had an infection (viral or bacterial)? If so, this chest pain you are describing could be caused by Pleurisy, an inflammation of the lining of the lungs. It's easily treated with anti inflammatories. Muscle cramps are also a possibility. I would still recommended you see your doctor as soon as possible to include other, more serious causes.

Yea, I get that too. I thought I was the only one. I've been chalking it up to gas pains. And when it first started it made me so anxious that I still get prescriptions for xanix which helps me relax when I get those, or scary spells. I've had it for years, so I doubt it has anything to do with the heart. Otherwise I'd have been dead on the floor long ago. Because I drink alot of milkshakes. :-)

it's gas, I use to get that when I was younger. pull out on your rib cage to relieve the pressure. I also use to inhale until it pops and goes away instantly but your right about that hurting

Health is very important. That is very serious. You need to see a doctor immediately. It is always wise to consult a doctor immediately so that you can be cured before it is too late.

Please consult a doctor or a cardiologist - health comes first.

if it is a heart attack you get a pain in your left arm first from what i understand so it isnt that. and i know what you mean cause i get that too. it is just this stabbing pain out of nowhere and then shortly after it goes away. i get it on both sides.

It could be gas. I have had the same problem. Mine turned into a stomach ulcer. See your Dr right away.

You seriously need to have the dr. do a physical. Don't let something like go without at least a check-up.
