Wow, Ben! you have a turn out!

Now, I would say that there were times that I wished I didn't have an attraction to guys, becase of pressures from my parents, from my friends, or like at school when they yelled at me for showing 'lewd public display of affection' when I hugged a guy I liked (and this was a football game! and at school there are guys making out with thier girlfrinds between classes!)

But overall I am glad I am the way I am becase if I weren't, I wouldn't be me. Supressing feelings isn't fun, and you start to hate yourslef, the best thing you can do is be you.

*Be who you are, because everyone else is taken!*

when I was younger and trying to come to terms with being lesbian, and I didn't know anyone at all who was openly gay, and I was still living at home and in the closet because I was afraid of what my parents might do.....yeah, I wished I wasn't gay then. but as I've gotten older, and slowly came out to friends and family and they've been accepting and supportive, and I've found someone special to share my life with....no, I no longer wish that. I'm happy with who I am.

Not any more. But I'm older, and I've traveled too many miles to go back. When I was younger, I sure did. I tried dating females, (and I like girls, I'm just not sexually into them), I tried dating nobody, I just really wished to be "like everybody else."

But I'm happy with myself. I'm a decent person (most of the time) , I've done a few things in life to be proud of, and I am respected by my peers. I'd never disrespect my gay friends and former lovers by going straight, even if it were possible.

When I was first coming to terms with it I did. I wished that I didn't have to live a lie as well, so I guess the saying about wishing is true. "Crap in one hand, and wish in the other and see which one fills up faster"

I'm happy now that I know who I am. It's easier to be me anyway.

I was a gay from 12 until 19 years old. At that time, many times I wished I wasn't a gay. Since then I am a straight fanatically and I fount homosexuality as a non - nature situation.

To a certain degree it's human nature to at least occasionally wish for something different to what you have. However most 'gay' people who are secure with their sexuality have done alot of soul searching and know themselves alot better then other people who are just complacent about their lives. Therefore on that basis they are probably alot happier in themselves for it.

God no, sometimes I wish I was more accepted or people wouldn't be so ignorant but I wouldn't want to wish I'm not gay, because that's not who I am.

Sorry! I'm not gay....but my boyfriend "is"! :)

There is nothing wrong with being gay so why would I "ever" wish that I wasn't gay?! Silly boy! :-D
