5 2/3- 2 1/10
= 17/3-21/10
= (170-63)/30
= 107/30
= 3 17/30
The steps are to
- 1st turn then into improper fractions (line 2)
- Get them on a common denominator equivalent, obtained by the LCM of the two denominators (line 3)
- Do the actual computation (line 4)
- Turn it to a proper fraction (line 5)

Hope it helps!

find the least common denominator, which would be thirty (make sure to multiply the numerators as well in the amount it has to go up by), so now you have:
5 20/30 - 2 3/30
Now subtract! The answer:
3 17/30
Now that is the only help I am giving. If you are doing your homework figure the rest out for yourself!

well subtract the intergers(5 - 2) then, the numerators(2 - 1), finally subtract the denominator(3 - 10)(but the denomiators have to be equal so that you can go through with it, so the least common denominator is 30)..then the conclusion should be writen just as you see the fraction integer (big number in front), the numerator(small number on top of line) and denominator(small number on bottom of line and it doesn't change! so it would be 30)
