She is alive, but unfortunately she is suffering from an Alzheimer's-like dementia.

No, she has Lewy Body Dementia and is not seen in public as a result of it. It was first thought that she had Parkinsons (a body disability that makes you shake) and then Alzheimer's (a brain disability that affects your memory).
But she is still alive, just not seen in public (and probably not in great physical and mental condition)

She current has Lewy Body Dementia, but is still living. She resides in Los Angeles, CA.
