We have a lot of little ants all over our kitchen. If I drop a potato chip crumb It's covered in ants within hours. we don't have much bug spray so right now all we've been doing is killing them with a paper towel and throwing them away but they keep coming back! What else can I do to catch/kill them?

try putting baby powder (sprinkling a thin trail of it), or chili pepper powder. those usually repel ants. buy a can of raid, spray the corners and edges of the house with it, even if there aren't any ants, and leave it there.

We had the same problem. And spent lots of money on sprays that only work for a little while. About a week ago I started cleaning everything with pine sol. Guess what? No more ants. Not only did it get rid of the ants, which we had trouble with for at least five years, but it smells nice too. We live in a mobile home and had even moved it once but obviously brought the ants with us as they were still all over the place after we moved. either that or we just got lucky and found a new colony where we moved to. At any rate, they are no longer a problem. Evidently they don't appreciate pine sol.

omg--we have the same problem. they are called sugar ants and my fiance actually bought some termite solution and sprayed all the baseboards of the kitchen. there is also some stuff called TERRO that you can get at most stores that they carry back to wherever they are coming from and they all die there. we have not seen any since and thank god because they are a real pain in the ___. hope it helps and good luck.

AVARACIOUS ANTS ARE AGGRIVATING.

I use something called TERRO.

It's a syrup that comes in a little bottle.

put a little on a piece of wax paper .

They eat their fill and take the rest back to the nest
The rest of the nest eats the best of the rest
and the whole nest takes a rest. FOR GOOD!

IT KILLS THE WHOLE DAMNED COLONY!!

Get some boric acid and put in cracks, under the sink, etc. This should get rid of the things, once and for all.

well this won't trap them or kill them but when we had a problem with ants coming in our front door we sprinkled cinnamon across the doorway and they will not cross it.... solved our problems

My mom used to use plain white chalk and draw a line where they are and they will not cross it! Also she used mint extract, they don't like that either.
