It seems to me that having no close "friends" has a much better outcome than just letting any ol' dillhole become a "bud." So why are these "friends" so important?

Sometimes we ALL need someone to talk to, even men. Choose your friends wisely, and if you can count them on one hand, than more than likely they are your friend. And just any " dillhole" does not make for a good friend. Try having a woman as a friend, we wont make passes at your girlfriend, If we are straight!!!! :)

I have no close friends; in fact I have no friends at all. I don't have a problem with this. I personally find it as a good thing for me. It really avoids problems. If you look at the question you posted you will see why.

you don't know why friends are important? let me tell you, friends are important for several reasons, it's bec. your friends is your chosen family, they will be there to help you and guide you to the right path, and even in the saddest part of your life they will be there at your side, they even listen to your boring stories and laugh with you, and some important is that they are the ones who fight half the battle and carry half of your burden in life!

having friends make life worthwhile. If your stressed out, they can help you relax, hang out over coffee. If you have a problem, they may not help you, but they could listen to whatever you have to say.
Trust me, if you hang out with the right group of people, you'll be on track.

its not so important, but its very hard to go though life with out any close friend to talk to, i kno what you mean though,, lots of my friends in the past turned out to be "FAKE FRIENDS" and it turned out that,, out of all the peeps i ever knew, i only had one true friend,,, oh well,,,life goes on,,

according to me it is neccsary to have frnds cause thn they can help u n u have to tell wat u feel to sum1 or the other...n frnds can always make u happy n support u!!
