so, i got a tattoo a few weeks ago and im so ready to get a new one (once i have money) lol. i designed my first one and its this cute little star pattern on my stomach...but like the lower right. so this new i was thinking of putting it on the upper left side of my stomach or something, like right above and to the left of the navel. but then i actually drew it and its different from what i expected, like bigger. its a fairy and she got one leg kicked up and really awesome wings and then a little xXx on one side for straightedge. yeah, any other ideas of where i should get it. its just that i only have one and i dont know where would hurt? like stomach, back? idk. help please!!!

NOT on your stomach--- someone else said it... once your'e pregnant, that will be a shooting star or a stretched out blob... and it wont come back to normal shape. Your fairy will look like a troll once it stretches out. Plus you may be cute & in shape now... 20 years from now when you gain 20 or 30 pounds, not so cute with a saggy fairy on your gut.
I have 2 tattoos, (well, I HAD 2 tattoos...)
One is on my lower back, unseen by anyone but my husband... the other one was on my ankle.
the ankle tattoo I got almost 15 yrs ago before it was "cool" to get them... it was only $35, and I spend probably close to $2000 getting it lasered off.... it took 2 years of blisters, pain, scabs, etc. but now it's gone.
It wasn't ugly (it was a blue dolphin) but it didn't look professional & I was just really over it....
Lucky I had a good job & could pay to get rid of the thing.
seriously think about it, you may think it was the dumbest thing you ever did 5 or 10 years from now & wont want to go in a bikini or a tank top with a stretched out star & fairy on your tummy...

It's going to hurt no matter where you put it. Don't put any [more] on your stomach if you're a girl and ever planning on having children- it won't look right after wards and tattoos are permanent commitments. On your back would work- so if later in life you don't want every one to see [and judge] you it's easy to conceal. But really- ask your artist. They'd be the best one to advise you what would work for your body shape/part.

I still don't understand why anyone would want someone else to tell them where to get a tattoo. It is your body and you are going to have to live with it for the rest of your life... I could say hey get it on your neck or your hand (where I have 2 of mine) but it could totally be the wrong thing for you. My suggestion is since you are drawing it yourself take the design and hold it up to the areas your are considering. Also... it will hurt no matter where you get it... if you have one you know they hurt... pain shouldnt be a factor in this. Take the time to decide while you are saving up your $$

ok, how old are u? r u planning on having children. trust me when i say that your tattood stomach will not look hot when u have a 7 lb baby stretching ur skin to the limits!!
i'd say go with your shoulder blades, maybe your ankles.
while i don't regret any of my tattoos, i wish i would of not put a big dog paw print on my upper arm. i was 18 and not thinkng clearly i guess. it didn't look very hot when i was a beautiful bride in a strapless wedding dress. in fact my grandfather hated it so much, that in all the wedding photos of me that he has for himself, he airbrushed my tattoo out of them before printng them out.
silly, but you want to consider 5, 10 and even 30 yrs down the road, how your tattoo will look.

If u hav a beautiful feet, then try on getting tattoo over there.
Stomach is best place to make tattoo. It wil give u a sexy look.
especially around ur navel. it make navel so pretty and attractve.
if u are wearing short tops u can also aplly on the back.

Tatoos are permanent. Think about it. When you become an adult and if you have a child, will you be able to explain why you chose to deface your body in that manner??

Shoulderblade (back of shoulder) - it's kinda sexy when it peeks through from your tanktop....but still safe enough to hide when you're at work.
