alan shearer instead of crouch

Peter Crouch has certainly got to be picked after scoring 8 goals in 12 games. He can't be dropped not unless Michael Owen come back and truly proves his fitness. Owen is only 26 and can certainly play for England. England have to play 4 4 2 with Crouch and Rooney up front. Rooney has to be England's best centre forward

in my opinion crouch in not good enough to play in the prem let alone england, but as he has been picked for england he thinks he is much better than he is(this was showed in all the failed skills he tried against greece) he fumbles a lot and scored 2 easy goals the one he took off the feet of lampard to pop it into the open goal and the second i dont know how the goalie missed it as the header was so poor it took at least 2 seconds the reach the goal. he is also a bad influence on the team as he encourages the wongers and all the midfielders to play the long ball game far to often when they should be playing shorter balls or bursting towards the box. all in all the is worst player in the team

No! He is more of a second striker, he needs a stirker to play off of. If he was healthy I would say owen is the Best centre forward. Crouch has yet to score regularly

I'm a Liverpool fan, and think Crouch is much better than he was first given credit for by England fans. He is more of a second striker to my mind, rather than an out-and-out goalscorer - good at knocking the ball down, much better at close control than you'd expect, and able to hold the ball up. His lack of pace is one of his biggest weaknesses, and (despite his goal against Greece) for such a tall player, his headers should be more effective. I'd rate Rooney, Defoe, perhaps Bent before him - but while he's scoring, it seems churlish to be overly critical.

If he is, and he has the jersey what does that tell you about the standard of English Football and consequently the standard of English coaching and talent spotters?
He has to be without doubt the worst excuse for a footballer I have ever seen at that level.

It's alittle hared to explain, but he scores all the time, and the others don't. He's probably more important to England than he is to Liverpool.

Dafoe is the best. Rooney is 2nd best (because he's such a loose cannon). Crouch is 3rd.
