What things is one able to do with his masters degree in psychology? How about Doctorates?

I want to help people with their mental health (NOT do much research), so which degree will best fit me?

Well first of all, psychology is a career that is not easily pursued. There is no guarantee of a job for you once you get either. I would suggest a doctorate in psychology. That way you would be more equipped and you can open up your own practice. There are not many differences between the two. But when you do a doctorate in something you are saying this is your specialty and you have studied this extensively.

A Masters in Psychology will be best for you if you don't want to do much research. Typically, Doctorates are for those who want to do a lot of research or teach. I'm also thinking that a MS in Psychology will be better suited for you than an MA. Masters of Science degrees are typically more "hands-on." It depends on exactly what you're looking for.

A Doctorate might want to be more beneficial sensible for psychology careers, yet you opt for a Masters earlier going for a Doctorate. A Doctorate is a really, very significant degree in comparison to a Masters.

Two options, either you could be a counselor, or a teacher. That is about all.
