A betta most likely won't attack a pelco, and a pelco is pretty heavily armored. I've seen a pelco success defend itself from some pretty touch fish. The main issue is a common pelco will grow to a foot in length, and eat anything that will fit in it's mouth.

I will admit....i don't know what a plecostomus sucker mouth cat fish is....but I have three bettas. Bettas were bred for fighting as you might already know. There fore don't place a betta with another BETTA. Other fish are fine because I once had a betta that got along great with the little rainbow fish. Though to be certain you can always ask the pet store where you buy your fish at.

I've never seen a beta attack a cat fish. But when plecos get large they tend to eat up smaller fish. As long as they are about the same size and there is plenty of room in the tank you shouldn't have a problem.

It depends on the Betta. Some Betta's will go after even the most peaceful fish. The fish store I have been going to for the past 5 years doesn't recommend it.

Yes, but the betta might kill it. I put one of each in a small fish tank alone, with plenty of cover and the betta just attacked him until it died.
