At most colleges you can sale the text books back to a bookstore at a discounted cost to you. Which really means you may spend 70$ for a book and get back 25$.

If you are willing to sell them youself and have some time you can away sell them with an affiliate of ebay, http://www.half.com. This way you can set the price and get what you are wanting out of the book. Most colleges will not take the book if there is a new edition coming to the bookstore so online you can always find someone from another school looking for the book you may have at hand. Other online book saleing/auction sights are:
http://www.amazon.com
http://www.barnesandnoble.com
http://www.boardersbooks.com

But heres a personal tip, I always keep my text books, that way once your out of college and in the field if you have trouble remember the information you can look it up and read more about it to get a firm grasp. Its great expecially for med students, nursing students, and science majors.

CampusBooks Buyback

We search the Internet for both textbook buyback prices and Marketplace prices, so you can see all of your online selling options in a fully transparent market.
Textbook Buyback Search

We compare textbook buyback prices at the top buyback sites on the web. Buyback sites will buy used textbooks from you right now; however they only buy certain books and generally only in good condition. Or, you can sell textbooks directly to other students on the CampusBooks Marketplace.

Sell it on Craigslist - http://geo.craigslist.org/iso/us/ky

Consider eBay, uBid, Amazon, Overstock, Yahoo Auctions, donate to your local library (some give tax deductible slips), half.com or do a Google search on "sell books online" without the quotes in the search box.

Good luck!

You can try the following www.bigwords.com

It searches several buyers simultaneously for the best price.
There is also www.valore.com.

I am not affiliated with either. I have used both with success. They are resellers. You won't get retail value. However, they will pay the wholesale price.

Good luck.

Try EBay. Be aware, however, that text books tend to get out of date very quickly.
