Wow, what's holding you back? I don't know if you can get legal aid, but the sooner you phone them to find out the better. I believe that if they are handling your case though, they cannot also take his on, so you NEED to be the first person to contact them and make the arrangements. Why waste another day, if I were you I know exactly what I'd be doing first thing in the morning tomorrow.

I am very sorry things are so hard for you.. if you dont have a lot of assets, a divorce in your situation may be fairly easy. Do you have any children? If you do not, it could be even easier. If you and your husband are willing to part and split the money and items between you in a way you can both agree on then your divorce may only cost 300 or 400 dollars.. If he will not concent to a divorce, or if children are involved it could end up costing thousands... Regardless, if he is abusing you, you need to get out of the home at once, take the children with you if you have any. Is there a friend or family member you can stay with? Hollynfaith also has some good advice (see below). I wish you the best.

I think that you should divorce him. You don't deserve that every women deserves some happiness in her life and should not be abused in anyway. No woman should have to go through that I do think that you should look on the internet for some places. I really do hope that you get out of this marriage before it's too late and I wouldn't want that to happen. So please do something while you can.

you need to get out of that marrage. if you cant afford to get a divorce, just leave and stay with a friend or something and after you have been gone for a while maybe he will sign for it and have to pay for it. i am not sure but i think if the man is abusive then you can get out pretty fast my mom did that and the divorce was final in only a month. just get out any way you can. if you think he will hurt you if he is there, go while he is not home. dont let him treat you like that.

Go to your nearest courthouse and find a clerk of courts. Explain to them that you would like to file a no-fault divorce pro se(without an attormney) and they'll direct you where to go to get the paperwork and draft it yourself. Don't panic if you don't know what you are doing. It's step by step, comes with an instruction sheet and you just fill in the blanks.
