please do not get pierced at the mall/or with a gun. These guns cannot be properly cleaned to any degree and the jewelry they use is absolutely terrible. The quality of metal is the cheapest and the post itself is more often than not to short to allow for proper healing/drainage of the piercing. Also the butterfly backs are a perfect breeding ground for bacteria and you guessed it...infections! You get what you pay for, go to a professional studio, get quality jewelry and a healthier piercing.

I have heard that as well. I got mine pierced years ago at Claires and it was fine..I had another set done at Walmart. My kids had Walmart ones and they turned out fine. Some doctors offices will pierce ears for you..you could ask your pediatrician..this way you are sure to get clean supplies. If you use the earring cleaner, twist your earrrings daily for the 6 to 8 weeks it takes then you should be fine. Keep the ears clean. If you are concerned about uneven lobes then have them use a marker to make a dot where the earring gun will pierce-that way you can change it over until they are straight. I hope that helps. It hurts a little but not over powering-the higher up your ear you go(cartilledge) the more it hurts.

I gor my second set of peircings done @ Claire's. It was clean, and I got no infection. The person should draw the spot on your ears, then they have a mirror to make sure you like them there. Make sure to watch the person who is piercing (for sterilization), and keep them clean with the solution they give you. I had no pain during and after I got my ears pierced. It's really quick and painless. It only cost $22 plus there's a coupon for the next time you purchase something!

I got mine done at Piercing Pagoda. And the piercing is free, but you pay for the price of what kind of earring you buy to get your ears pierced. And you need a parent/guardian with you to sign something since your under 18.

I was eight when I got my ears pierced. It was done at Claire's... never, ever, go there. I contracted a horrible infection from them, and my ears are now finally completely healed (no more sensitivity.)

Hi, I would highly suggest Claires. I had mine done twice by them and had no problems with them at all. They use to give a cleaner to you as part of the piercing and it worked great. I would really give them a try. Good luck to you.

Go to any shopping mall where they sell ear rings. If you buy ear rings they do the piercing free of cost by a special equipment. No pain. They also give free liquid to wash it for one month that will heal the wound without causing any damage to your skin. But please ensure to mark the correct place before piercing. Latter on you can not change the place.
