I did with my first... she was two weeks overdue, and was big already. I elected to be induced. Basically, that just means that you are given pictocin to start contractions and sometimes, if your water doesn't break naturally that the doctor does it for you with a little crochet-hook looking thing. For me, the contractions started very slowly, and they had to double the dosage to get things going. Once they did that though, the contractions come hard. I also elected to induce with my second daughter, but she had other plans... I was to be induced on a Monday, and she decided to come out on the Saturday before. You never know what will happen in labor!

My baby's due date was 4 days before I was going to get out of the military and I wanted to be sure it was covered by my insurance. I discussed this with my midwife 2 weeks before and she agreed to an induction just 1 day prior to my due date IF I didn't go into labor myself before then. The day of my induction I went into labor naturally but since we were already scheduled she administered the pitocin to help things move along. I had my daughter within 8 hours. I was also induced with my son, but that was because my water broke and they needed to get him out.

i did.. 2 months ago my daughter was born 2 weeks early at 38 weeks . they had to admit me cause she didnt pass the stress test. that same nite they broke my water and started me on pitocyn. boy did that hurt. ive never experience any type of pain like that before.
i stopped dilating at 6cm the following day. at 8am, the nurses rushed me into the OR and had a Csection..my c section opened up and got infected. till this day im still recovering. i had surgery about 2 weeks ago to get my wound closed up and find out the source of the infection. morphine and oxycodone aka percocet became two of my best friends. so i suggest to stay away from having cesarean done. i really had a bad experience. i know everyones experiences are different but you never know..

My sister did. Her due date was approaching, the baby was getting big, and my sister was really tired. She was told to come to the hospital a night before the scheduled delivery, and she was given some vaginal cream that contained oxytocin to start the labor. Very early in the morning they gave her pitocin (IV), and then she was given epidural. THe baby was born around 10 am, with no problems.

if you can have your baby naturally, just do it, c-sections are not the best alternative, unless the baby it's in trouble.
