Can guys work in bikini shops?

i asked this place if they hire guys and she was smiling and saying it would be hard for them to hire a guy to work there since it is a women' store...i didnt find offense to it but should i have? she said they nevered hired a guy when ia sked...how about victoria secrets? theres guys that work there

I wouldn't take offense.

Since the majority of shoppers at the store are probably women they would likely be more comfortable buying female swimwear from another woman.

On the other hand, men have been known to shop for intimate items for women, and may be more comfortable dealing with a male clerk at that store.

I would hope the manager of the store would understand the business well enough to know that and I would move on to Abercrombie and Fitch or another store that sells to both sexes.

I used to work in a lingerie store. There was a guy who worked there and there was a requirement that all amployees had to be able to fit bras. He demonstrated that he could on a mannequin and never had to do anything like that for a real woman. I don't see why a guy couldn't work there as long as he doesn't drool or anything. Some women might even appreciate a male opinion.

You can work anywhere, if you are interested and if you are allowed. Or you can start a Bikini Shop of your own and try.

well i can tell you it is silly of the bikine shope.

i work in a clothing store. the guys are more likely to talk a girl into an item than a female. girls are dressing up for guys. they are flattered by guys liking and helping them pick out items that look good on them.

yeah, I know a guy who got a job at victoria's secret for that very reason.. you know, to see if he could. They stuck him in the stock room, which I thought was a little more risky for them. Whatever.

sometimes i wish there were more guys working in bikini stores so they can judge the girls better then they can themselves. There were lots of women i wish i never saw wearing bikinis.
