I do not approve of the extremity Israel went to in Lebanon. Many innocent Lebanese died because of their brutality. Israel crossed the line of defending itself and entered the realm of cruelty because Israel knew that they had no real oppostion... they have the 5th largest military in the world. I am ashamed that I am half Jewish right now.

Yes. This American's opinion is that if "Palestine" and Hezbollah would stop murdering and kidnapping people for sport, we wouldn't need to support Israel's defending itself.
It's sorta like asking "why do I support the man who beat up a guy who was raping his wife?" It's a no-brainer.

The official stance is support completely. For me I see two tales. Israel has had to fight since before Titus in 70 CE!! They have been persecuted and attacked by terrorists who kill their women and children in suicide bombings. For the Palestinians they are treated like 2nd class citizens, they are poor, have little to no hope and that is what prompts the suicide bombers...take away hope and not much is left. Thats my opinion.

I'm a Palestinian. My answer is : Yes, of course. I see that with my eyes in my own country. The caterpillar bulldozers, Hummer jeeps, guns, F16 helicopters,etc.....
Even in Lebanon, USA Supports Israel. Didn't you hear about American smart bombs. These bombs dives about ten meters inside the earth then go off. USA sent them to Israel pretending that these bombs will be used in order to kill terrorists. We have not seen dead terrorists. Thanks America, Lebanese children received your gifts by Israel. You know, children like to have fun,and they were so happy that their tiny bodies went into pieces because your gifts were heavy a little bit. Okay, never mind. Thanks again America your gifts were so nice and sweet.

When a nation(like Israel) is constantly attacked without provocation, and the attackers intent is to drive you into the sea, the point should not be to respond equally, it should be to use all the force needed to win.
It's not Israel's fault that the Hezbos hide behind civilians like little cowards.
Also, Hezbollah is targeting civilians, while Israel is targeting terrorists.
