there is tons of terrorist/insurgent activity in each country if you follow the news... but it seems like we've pretty much just left Afghanistan on it's own... it's a huge opium field and God-only knows what else field now...
in fact, 9-11 has many more links to Afghanistan... yet we have focused our efforts on Iraq?
and Iran and N. Korea are even much closer to nuclear development, if you want to talk about WMD even?

Peter K: I'm not even sure it's so much a "Big Lie" as much as a "jingle-your-keys-lookie-over-here" stratagy... I'm not even sure the American public has the attention span to even sit down long enough to actually listen to a "big lie"...

Agreed. Love the "jingle-your-keys-lookie-over-here" analogy. I was 100% percent behind invading Afghanistan. The mission was clear. Iraq, on the other hand...
Most sources believe that bin Laden is no longer in Afghanistan, but has crossed over into Pakistan, who we treat with "kid-gloves".
The are quite a few members of Al Queda in Iraq NOW, who weren't there before. So, all the Iraq war has done is given Al Queda a foothold in yet another country, aside from killing 100,000 innocent people and more Americans than died on 9/11. Meanwhile, bin Laden is quietly planning his next attack while we are forced to clean up our mess.

because as everyone knows Bush had a hard on for Iraq. They (the godless immoral neocons who run our once proud country) discussed it even before he was elected and when 9/11 happened, one of the first things done was linking of 9/11 and Iraq in sentences, somewhat slyly, but connected enough that even today half of America still believe the lies of WMDs and Iraq and 9/11. It was just the slick ROVIAN manipulation of the media, and the famous concept of "The Big Lie," which if repeated over and over again becomes "fact" in the minds of people. This is what happened, and the manipulation of the American people was quite good, good enough to steal the election of 2004 with crooked tatics and easily rigged voting machines. Need I go on?
You know this would make a hell of work of fiction if it weren't so sadly true, even documented, and very few of us really care. Glad to find another true patriot out there.

the war on drugs is lost!!! oh, my; i'm shocked.. Afghanistan is calmed down and getting better. Iraq is still hot, and well located between syria and iran, so that; when ww3 does get well under way we will have a base of ops.. P.S. hussein did have a lot to do with 9/11/01, he trained them, and provided them with finances. He also paid death bonuses to the families of suicide murderers in isreal .. O.K. -WMD, it is well established that he had them, but that is only one reason that we went to iraq. He shipped many of them to Syria, and more to N.Korea. Do you recall those two major explosions that occurred in N.Korea just after we went into Iraq? Why do you think such a major occurrence went uninvestigated by major media.....because it was good for u.s.

Which focuses on the fact that Iraq is a closely guarded hidden agenda. And Osama (our reason for going to war) is alive and well and probably quite comfortable. But ooooops! We dont want to capture him just yet because the American public might say "Bring the troops Home!". And the hidden agenda in Iraq would be put at risk.Tsk Tsk Tsk

quickly after 9/11 the Bush administration which comprise our corrupt media networks presented the yank public with this argument and tried to implement it for the longest time. They saved repeating the lie over and yet yet again till the week minded fell for the seize and believed the lie. as long as human beings get their information by skill of our community networks, we can by no skill listen the reality. those channels are literally not self reliant and do not uphold journalism ethics. They marketed this lie for merely about 2 years till such an rather good type of human beings grew to grow to be conscious it grow to be in uncomplicated words a lie. As for the troops, they save getting briefed by technique of their commanders and fed the same lie to this date. i recognize that because I actually have many associates serving in Iraq on the prompt and they tell me how mind washed they're on a daily basis.

Afghanistan is a underdeveloped underpopulated mountainious country, Iraq is a moderately populated nation. Iraq needs more troops to secure. Of the Afghani people, the majority live in small cities or villages. Iraq has bustling cities which are harder to secure (urban combat)

not all of afghanistan is responsible for 9/11. it was by a few ppl from afghanistan. there's a difference. we are focused on iraq becuz we want oil. which is a horrible reason but the bumper stickers that say "blood for oil" are not lying. i am a little bit nervous about iran becuz the president said he was out to destroy israel loud and clear. so it makes me nervous, but that's all i can say right now.

ARE YOU KIDDING??
Saddam hated Bin Laden! They both hated America but didn't like eachother personally.
Saddam didn't train the men... or if he did it wasn't because he wanted them to be terrorists but they became his soldiers then left.
