Your nose will hurt more then your belly button because there are difference in tissue. But, with all that said my belly button didn't hurt that bad it was only for a split second when the needle is going through the skin, once the rings in you forget all about it.

No matter what anyone says, the nose hurts worse.
First of all, when I got my nose done I chose the nose because my sister was getting her belly and I thought it would hurt too much. I was shocked at how bad the needle hurt my nose and I felt faint but didn't cry.
My sister then got her belly pierced, shes a wimp though, so she was crying a bit. Well anyway, I then said to the piercer "I'm glad I didn't get the belly, I bet that hurts a lot." & He said "Ah, actually nose is worse!" I asked why and he explained that in your stomach you have more fat (even skinny people) to make the pain less and your nose is a gentle area with cartilage. So I believed him... then a few months later my sister got her nose pierced and agreed the pain of the nose was way worse.

my friend has 6 piercings, including belly button, and nose. she says nose was the LEAST painful of her piercings, and belly button was one of the worst, but lip was the WORST. I got my belly button done, and was expecting it to hurt really bad. But, it wasnt horrible. I also have a tattoo, and that was more painful. Getting my belly button done hurt more than my ears. It made me flinch, but not even enough to say OW or anything. it is the piercing that takes the longest to heal, and is often regected by the body and actually forced out. it takes 9-12 months to heal, so you have to take REALLY good care of it. no swimming or baths for 6 weeks, only showers, and you have to clean it 5 times a day. also, it stays sore as long as several months. especially if it gets bumped, infected, or caught on anything, then it restarts the healing period. if you do get it done, DO NOT do it yourself. Its a pretty big chunk of skin and you want to make sure its safe and straight.

Your belly button will hurt much worse! No matter what anyone says it will also leave a scar! I took both of mine out and I have a a scar on my belly button but you can't tell at all that I had my nose peirced. Belly rings are going out of style anyways and it looks much sexier without one. Good luck though.

I've actually had my belly pierced twice (before and after pregnancy) and it didn't hurt at all either time. It really depends on who does it for you.
