People have always used labels, my Dear. It's in our hard-wiring as we develop. What isn't "normal" to us then gets a label that says what it is and isn't. It doesn't make it right and a lot of people use it to hate other people.
Actually, before I checked out the details of your question I was going to mention that I'd never know what was in my freezer if I didn't label things...good question though..silly sleepy otter.

I don't believe that there is a logical answer to this question. Man has always wanted to control everything. In some point in time, man has taken comfort in naming everything around him. I believe it provides a sense of pride and security by giving everything a label or name. With this said, man fells superior by holding the answers to all questions.Trust me,there's bound to be somebody that really knows the answer to life......

Survival: By making quick judgements, we can cope faster with situations. For example, we judge all snakes to be deadly, and few of us would try to find out otherwise.
This backfires when we deal with people, but it is such a big part of how our minds work it takes a lot of effort to overcome

because labelers are just ppl whon categorize others, just so they can make generalized statements that others will go along with, and hurt that groups feelings, ppl often do this, and some just dont want to know them, and choose to go by a generalization of who they realy are, and go by it, when truly they just dont want to know them
