It's neither an invasion of privacy nor an unreasonable search.
The reasoning is that you hold your fingerprints out for public inspection with everything you touch. So, if you are going to leave your fingerprints everywhere you go, it can't be an invasion of privacy to leave them on a piece of paper for the police.

In olden days the finger prints of habitual criminals were taken for record.It is considered as a disgraceful act to take someones finger prints.

There is no need to be paranoid about getting your fingerpint taken if you have nothing to hide. It is not an invasion of your rights.

If the Police/Security forces want to "obtain" your prints or DNA-they will do.

No? They take it when your first born to keep it on record. Your fingerprint is tied to your identity, not your soical security number or anything.......
