when 9-11 happened some people have said george w. bush and that the united states as a whole pulled together for support, however other people feel that it was new york, what do you think, explain. my view is that it was new york, i live in new york and had 4 friends lose one or both parents, i had people who i knew very well brutally die, i feel that new york really pulled together and bounced back from 9-11.

Of course it would feel like New York pulled together more than the whole country, since that's where it happened. But that doesn't mean that the rest of the country didn't mourn along with you. All of us care.

i sort of think both sides of the question are right. it's true that all of america was affected by 9-11... many people around the country lost relatives, and the government as a whole helped out, plus people from all over donated money to the victims and stuff. on the other hand, new york was most brutally affected because it was their buildings and for the most part their people that were lost in 9-11, and not to mention the lasting effects like less tourims, etc. It hit closest to home for new yorkers when 9-11 occurred, so while the rest of the country had pulled together for support, the new yorkers were especially strong in their efforts to recover after 9-11.

I have sympathy for the friends and family of those who died during 9/11 and wish to give them my sincere regards. However, we have not banded together. 9/11 has torn America apart. Our government is now taking an unfortunate circumstance and using it to enforce globalization and spread "democracy" across the world. I feel less safe now than I did before 9/11.
