to accept unconditional love? other than the obvious!

cuz its very unusual and most people are not fully comfortable with people being so nice, it basically feels too good to be true and it is hard for people to believe it

I think it has to do with trust issues.
Also, if they are incapable of giving unconditional love, then how in the world are they going to understand it?
Although if you think about it, there are people who accept and believe in unconditional love and don't even know it, they are pet owners.

Because many lack the feeling that they are worth the unconditional love that someone would give them.

I think it's hard for people because they aren't ready to make a commetment and stay with that special person for the rest of their lives. maybe they want to but they r probably just scared of making that commetment. maybe if u give em a couple of years they'll come to there senses or maybe there parents never showed them unconditional love and it's probably overwhelming to them.

They can't accept something that they have no idea of, or better yet give. A lot of people think in order to receive something that grand that they will have to match up or give too much of themselves and as you know the majority is vain and selfish.

Because in today's society, we are taught that nothing is free, and there's always a catch somewhere. So we take that belief over into our other relationships as well.
