yes i do read people's profiles. sometimes i do try contacting them. mostly when i'm reading them it's when someone else is contacting me. just like to know something about who i'm talking to.

I contact someone by reading their questions or answers. Not by reading their profile. That's the way people contact me too.

Only if it's someone I'm impressed with or someone I'm annoyed with.
Sometimes I'll see an interesting or "fishy" question, and look at the person's profile-- only to realize that their previous questions contradict the question I'm looking at. Some people aren't smart enough to keep their story straight.
For example, one girl claimed to be 14 and pregnant, then in another question claimed to be 11 and a babysitter for her younger siblings... then she claimed to be engaged and older. Profiles are interesting.

I've never read profiles before, but I've had others contact me. (usually bawling me out for my opinion, so I've taken my e-mail off)

not usually their profiles, but if their 360 page is intersting, sure why not, I have had some intersting conversations with people I may never meet, but are fun talking to.
