Gay people have a definite attraction to the same sex very early. They usually know they are different from their peers in childhood and know definitely they are gay by pre-adolescence or so. Bisexuals are different; they know they have an attraction for the same sex later than homosexuals do; and a large no. of bisexuals do not self-identity themselves as such until their mid-twenties. Bisexuals tell themselves they are going through a normal phase but finally realize that phase does not end. Homosexuals and bi's not only sense an attraction to the same sex, their fantasies include same sex people (bi's include both sexes but not necessarily in the same fantasy). I doubt very much you are lesbian. You might be bi but I doubt that the attraction to women is an ovewhelming one for you. Both gays and bi's don't just admire the same sex, physically, they tend to have strong attractions to them, sexually, but of course not all of the time with every same sex person.

Interesting, but to tell you the truth, it's up to you. Many people just ARE gay or just ARE straight. A lot of people don't figure it out for a long time, but eventually they accept the truth of it. My best advice is to explore your sexuality. You can try the hands on approach of actually being with a woman, or you can watch lesbian porn versus straight porn and see how each make you feel. I look at women's assets, but not always in the "checking them out" way. I think you may just be admiring beauty. The human body is a work of art, after all. It's a pity you don't enjoy sex with men. Perhaps you haven't found the right lover yet?
And if it does turn out that you're more interested in women than men, there is nothing wrong with that.

Look, I am a teenager, and I'm not sure what sexuality I am right now, so I can't answer. I know for sure I am not a lesbian, but I think I might be bisexual. But I have a lot of straight friends who look at a girl's butt, but not in a sexual way, more of a admiration sort of way. And don't worry about being gay. There's not a single thing wrong with it, contrary to what some people on this sight are posting. I think I was born bi, I don't think any factors in my life made me this way, but some people disagree. I would just experiment. You say you've never enjoyed sex with guys, so maybe you need to experiment with a girl. If you like it, then I would say you are a lesbian or bi. Good luck on figuring it out.

Extremely, re-emphasize extremely, unlikely that any particular life experience is able to turn someone gay/lesbian, especially some playin' as a kid. It's also not something that you think yourself into being or not being. It just is your chemistry, your physiology, your real self -- gay, bi, or straight. Oh, and, the only choice I've known gays/lesbians consider here is either to accept themselves or not. It just is. As for looking and appreciating the beauty of the female body, lots of people do. The question is whether you are sexually and romantically attracted to women.

gay just happens..you are born with it...I think that if you were gay you wouldn't be on here at 23 asking this question...I'm a gay man and I check out attractive women all the time...but the fireworks only go off for men....we all had kinda gay experiences when we were children....being gay at your age now involves much more hormones.....trust me if you're gay you will know it.

being gay just happens, dearie. don't be afraid to be different and explore your limits and depths, if you can. you may be bisexual; however, not enjoying sex with men does not necessarily mean not being a heterosexual or even being bisexual. it's also natural to fantasize about members of the same sex. the only problem is that you sound extremely suppressed.
