What can we do to fix the problem aside from nuking them?

I'm a Palestinian. My feelings about USA may differ between the US government and the US people.
I loathe the US government (President Bush, Rice, ........) and I call them the heads of terror. People in the middle east hate USA because of it's policy of seizing the world , occupying countries and funding Israel with money and internationally forbidden weapons. Even people in South America hate USA.
For me, I don't like the US because it supports Israel, killed Iraqis and because USA has no honesty!!!! Don't you remember the elections in Palestine in January. USA talked about democracy and peace and as soon as the democratically elected party (HAMAS) formed the government USA lost it's remaining honesty and wanted to upbraid Palestinians for their democratic choice. And they say that US is the country of democracy!!!
It's a real shame for the most powerful country in the world to spread lies and promising to people. By the way, I wonder how Americans think!!!!! tens of Americans who came to Palestine told me that they are not proud to be Americans because of the disgraceful things that America did.

That's easy. Because even though we claim that we are evenhanded, they can see that is a lie because we have always blatantly supported Israel in every single conflict. Our media constantly shows photos of some terrorist group or suicide bomber killing Israelis (I do not approve of that) but there is NEVER any information of the type of terror that Israeli visits upon the Palestinian people on a day to day basis. For example, how many American people know that there are hundreds of Palestinian people languishing in Israeli jails for years, most times on the very flimsy excuse that they are terrorists. I'll put it simply: The people in the Middle East don't like the US because we have done nothing to show that we even want to try to understand them and they perceive that we hate them. And that is plenty evident right here if you just read some of the other answers to this question.

It's all about the dance we do to support Israel and keeping the oil flowing in our economy.
Arab nations will never accept Israel. PERIOD.

We have done business with one tyrant after another and made them incredibly wealthy while ignoring their human rights violations.

If we back off of our support for Israel they would either go down fighting or let the nukes fly. Bad juju for keeping the oil coming.

The US nuking them would likely result in no oil and probably another world war. More bad juju for us.

We could have reduced our dependence on oil but instead chose to serve the oil barons and other greed mongers in the world. In the twenty first century we have reverted to a nineteenth century mentality for the sake of the few. Political history has taught us nothing but how to improve on the worst that we have to offer.

Change the policies.
US is only hated because of its unilateral support for Israel for all its EVIL actions.
US is hated because of the negative propaganda by the US Administration & the biased media against Islam & Muslims.
US is hated because it attacked & invaded Iraq without the approval of UN.

If the citizens of US believe that they are civilized, educated & peace living people and US is the only world power, then they must not support one side in a conflict but should try to resolve the core issue of conflict JUSTLY.
So my friend change your policies.

About Nuking the Arabs, you did this to the Japanese, but just after 70-years their economy is stronger than US, You cannot finish the Arabs or the Muslims. They will rise again & again & this tussle & war of hate will continue untill the core issues of conflicts are resolved JUSTLY.

They feel like they are the underdog and they have become religious zealots fixated on their religion beliefs. Thing is, why wasn't this a big problem like it is now about 30 years ago? Guess they are getting further and further behind. Many times people who are fearful will attack others. So, what are they afraid of? To fix the problem: convert the whole Middle East to Christianity.

Arabs and Muslims in the middle east who do not like the US seem to not like the US for two reasons, A. we support Israel and B. we are a modern nation and seen the world over as the leader of western culture which is totally counter to the belief system in the Islamic faith that many of these people hold.

We can't fix it. Unless we all convert to Islam or we die. The Koran teaches that Islam will one day be the one and only religion in the world. They will also be the governing body. All those that will not convert will either have to die or live as a servant to those who do believe. This is fact and in the Koran go look for yourself.

Some Muslims believe that on Aug 22 the 12th Imam will return and begin the cleansing of the Earth. This will only happen if there is chaos and bloodshed world-wide. Not saying anything is going to happen but it makes you think.

If america had the nerve to take on the task , we could easily resolve the problem- but it won't be done.. Something is wrong with u.s.a. that makes it weak..
