On a lawnmower: Keep fingers away from blades when running. Come to find out, the warning was added after some dope had tried to pick a mower of that brand up by the housing intending to trim his hedge.

In the 50s on Superman capes they actually printed a little warning saying "Does not enable user to fly". What scares me is these warning on here exist because somewhere, somebody was an idiot and tried to do what they're warning you against.

I got this curling iron. The warning label had a symbol of an eye, with a curling iron touching it. Of course there was a circle around it and a line through it.
