Use mixtures of live and dried food. Betta prefers live food eg. Blood worm, tubiflex worm and brine shrimps as they can move. By nature betta likes to attack. Dried food on the other hand can provide extras vitamins and colour enhancing ingredients that can beautify and bring out the colours of betta. There are many forms of dried food in the pet shops. Try to get pallet form with size small enough for the betta's mouth and never overfeed them as they will not be as active if overfed.

Betta's love blood worms, and I used to give them to mine but I'm so allergic to them I'd get miserable after I fed them so now I don't anymore. THe freeze dried ones are cheaper and last a long time. You could ask for them at a local pet store. I have had many betta's, so I know what they like! :-) Good luck w/ yours.
