IE .. does the clorine affect them at all? just got nice new nails on today and want to take my niece swimming next week...any advice would be great thanks...

It depends if you need a fill and the nail are starting to lift the water and other germs can get under them may cause infection if its a fresh set dont worry

The pool shouldn't affect your nails. If your worried go back to whoever did them and ask them to put a sealer on top. If your cuticles get dry - don't waste money just rub some baby oil into them. Sunbeds can affect your nails they turn yellow - that's what the sealers for, so definitely don't swim and sunbed.

Yes, chlorine will eat away at most acrylic nails. However, personally I think it would be worth it to take your niece swimming and just get them fixed afterwards.

They can and if nothing else, your cuticles will probably get dry and icky. Just go to the salon after your fun and have them touch you up for about 6 bucks or so.

thankfully you added the IE section in your question or you would have had answers like you shouldn't go in the swimming pool you should go in the toilet......my daughter assures me your nails are safe.

The pool won't bother the acrylic, but sunscreen will. Best use spray-on sunscreen.
