Greece disappered almost at Cleopatra (the last queen of Egypt)'s time.May I know why?

The Ancient Romans took them over with the expansion of the Roman Empire. Therefore, they absorbed the Greek ideas of architecture, medicine, some religious ideas, logic, rhetoric, sailing, mercantile system as well as countless other things.

Greece is still there. Look on a map. The Grecian civilization disappeared about the time of Cleopatra, who was Egyptian, by the way, because of too much decadence, the reason most civilizations died off.

The roman empire ruled most of the known world at that time. the Greecians were politiacly assimilated, changing their culture beyond repair. Greece, as a country, still exsists, just check any world map, globe, yahoo search, or even google.

Last time I looked the country was still sitting there basking in the wine-dark sea....All right, all right..I'm being cheeky. I believe it was then formally annexed by Rome (whether the Greeks wanted to or not.)
