salty with butter most of the time.

sometimes, I add cheese, but usually no.

sometimes, I eat them with butter and sugar rather than butter and salt.

Sometimes, I feel like being sweet and other days, feel like being a little more.....salty. My grits follow suit... ;-)

When I lived in the dreaded "UP NORTH"...
I was always given Cream Of Wheat or a bowl of Rice with butter and sugar on it. When I moved here, I was like..."what's that funny looking white stuff?". My parents, being from the South, convinced me they were good, and to this day, I can not eat my grits without butter and sugar on them.

I enjoy my grits with lots of butter on them and I eat all I can because I really love grits.
I've tried them with cheese but I'd rather just put butter on them.
Now you've made me hungry for grits with butter so I guess I know what I'm fixing for breadkfast, thanks. I wasn't sure what to fix for breakfast and now I'm looking forward to breakfast.

I don't eat grits, sweet, salty, cheesy, plane, or buttery. I don't like grits, don't buy grits, don't consort with anyone who even thinks of grits favorably, and wouldn't sleep in a house that had grits buried under the porch.

Salty with butter... with fried eggs, biscuits and some salt pork, too. Sorghum on the side. (For the biscuits.)
