My heals are sore and badly cracked,I'd like to know what I can do. I have tried miracle foot cream and it didn't work. I work in a factory and am on my feet all night and on hard floor... is that the cause of it.

I've used some of those foot creams and they worked--if I used them for a long period of time, every day, day and night. If you look at the list of ingredients, you'll see that usually the main one is petroleum jelly--your basic Vaseline. Apply a thin coat of this in the morning after you dry off from your shower and wear socks. It's a good idea to use a pumice board or callous stick (right after drying off) that you can get in the beauty section of any grocery store or drugstore--Dr. Scholl's has several kinds. Gently run it over the heel to loose the dead skin and wipe off with a damp cloth. You probably don't wear sandals or clogs or anything like that, so the socks wouldn't look strange. Do the same thing at night--wash your feet well, use the pumice stick, dry them, apply the vaseline and wear a clean pair of socks to bed. You should see results in a week or so. I've tried the expensive things and the Vaseline works as well as anything.

I feel sorry for you when your feet hurts it makes you feel miserable. Try this, I started about three years ago every night before you go to bed put Shea butter foot cream(buy it at bath and body) on your feet and rub in really good. When you first start put on socks at night. Also I have heard of putting a little bit of cooking oil on your feet and putting the socks on. You have to do it every night for it to work. If I skip a few night I can tell because my heel get dry again. Hope this helps and take care of those feet.

I don't know what the cause is, but go to wal-mart or some store like that and get a pumice rock (with a handle). It should be in the beauty section. Rub it on your heels (works like sandpaper) and it will remove the dead cracked parts of your skin. It may be sore for a day after that, but it will feel much better. I think it is a calous remover.

Vasaline Intensive care lotion helps to reduce cracking. Try some new socks cause your feet need so air circulation. I had that problem with running 5 and 10K races.

Try getting regular pedicures or if you cant afford it, after you shower or bathe rub you feet with vaseline and put socks on, I do it before going to bed. This will held soften them also.

i dunno bout the soreness...maybe pain killers?
but i have found that vasselene really helps dry feet.
it sounds and feels pretty gross, but b4 bed, glob vasselene on your feet, and put socks on. leave it on until you take a shower or have to take them off the next day. when you do, they feel sooo soft. continue doing that until your feet are completely healed. then continue occasionally to ensure softness. i used to be embarassed by my dry and cracked feet. but its not nearly so bad anymore.

added edit:
oh. i didnt read that you are on your feet all night. i spose you can still do that though. just keep socks and shoes on!

Before you go to sleep, cover your feet with petroleum jelly then put on a pair of socks. By morning, your feet will be soft and supple. :D
