Why not? Wait, I tell you more...First of all, prepare a long luggage, the best is 16"x48". The longer is better: the scanner at airport's entrance is not wide enough to bring your long bag side way, so it has to go straight in. Then, lay your DVD stand up face the end; therefore, when airport scanner scans, they can only see from top, sideways, your DVD will only show as LINE on screen. wait, there is more...Take the cover off, put at different place, when you are there, insert back or leave cover behind...although these are not legal but who spreaded out before showing in movie theater?... someone from Hollywood...who to blame??? I had friend bought some new movies overseas before it hit the theater here in USA, DVD quality...huh
Also, I heard the rumor saying if custom found them, not just destroy them, plus large fine if any sign of business evidences.

If you get them past Customs, then you're in, but then you have to worry about getting them through Customs on the way back home. For good or for bad, regardless of one's opinion on the matter, pirated intellectual property is illegal world-wide. And you take your chances taking it across international borders.
If caught, they'll likely be easier on you if it's apparent that you are not a commercial smuggler trying to make a profit, but never-the-less, it's still illegal.
What I do when I travel is go with none, but then buy some wherever my destination is. They're pretty much readily available just about everywhere in the world. Then, you can either leave them behind when you go, or try your luck coming back home. Anyway, good luck!

Just don't bring in pornographic material. The hotels must be really crappy if they only give u non-English channels when we all get at least 2 in English. Not getting cable channels is rather common for the smaller hotels.

you will have to pay a fee to customs of 75 ud dollars per cd..thats a lot of money..they check for porn and priated copys...an youll still lose your dvd;s....You will have no problem purchasing any titles u might like to view once you are there. That goverment cracks down on copys, why chance it. Pirated dvds and cd's are baned in all countries.

Why not buy or rent them when you are here? That way you need not worry about getting caught.

Probably the worst that will happen if customs finds them is they will destroy them.
