I hate mine and it drops calls a lot so I know the network isn't with me!

I could care less about mine. The only reason I have one is a good friend gave it to me because he and another friend were worried about me being stranded somewhere by myself without being able to get help. I have some health issues so they thought if I had this by the bed, I could use it in an emergency.
Most of the time it's in my purse and I forget to turn it on when I go out. I have a landline at home and I figure if someone wants to reach me they can call me there and leave a message if I don't answer. Being able to go out by myself is something I look forward to. I don't want to be distracted from what I'm doing or from my thoughts if I'm on a walk or whatever. If someone complains they wanted to go out to dinner with me, but couldn't reach me, then they should have called sooner.
If I know there's a family emergency (someone sick, for instance), I'll turn it on while I'm out. They're overused way too much by people who don't have anything better to do than call while they're driving. Did you know that cell phone use has overtaken car radio playing as the #1 activity in a car? When do people take time to enjoy their music?

Not attached to the phone itself but very attached to what it can do - and there's a difference. I can live without it (uncomfortably), but I'd rather not....

No i am not. I cannot stand it i am 14. I hate people calling me. It annoys the hek out of me. Escpecialy When people call just to say stupid stuff. And then people give out my phone number to other people i dont want to know my number. And then they call me and want to be freinds and i hate them. Mostly i have everyone else set as silent except close friends. and if a need someone i call the,

No, my cell phone is cool but I am attached to my Land Line ... it came with a teather.

I don't need my phone... I never call anyone. They call me... and seldomly do I talk. Yeah, I can live without it... I once dropped my phone off a roof and ran it over with my friends truck.
