What is this Axis and why would we want to be a part of it?

Execution is a private matter between the state and the individual. Public execution sends the wrong message to the people. It says "the state is the boss of the people" while in America, our system says that "the people are the boss of the state"-- it is for this reason that we do not have public execution.

It is simply inconsistent with core American beliefs.

Because if people could see what it's like to die, in person or on T.V. then alot of crime here would vanish, But NO, some wingnut is going to say that it is inhuman to kill people or execute them, But it's O.K. for the murderer to murder Huh? Please, I say when a judge finds you guilty of murder, then the judge should shoot you right where you are sitting, Murders would decrease so drastically, it would be a safer place to raise your kids....

in Iran they have public executions, and i think they do it just to scare people. kinda set an example. i don't agree with it at all.

i have no idea but public executions are the goverments way of publicizing thier death penalty

I don't even believe in executing people in any way, form or fashion. Life is sacred.
