Define kids.
Under 12, none, IMO.
12+, it's up to the parents to decide with their kids. Light lip gloss would be nice. Maybe mascara, blush, or a light eye shadow. For face makeup (concealer, foundation, powder) I'd make her wait at least until she was in high school. Skin problems come fast enough without clogging your pores with cosmetics.

if any thing bare essentials to use as a natural sun block and lip gloss but no younger than 13 years of age. Y ou will age there skin faster if you put any makeup on them at a young age you may get away with 12 years since are sun is so bad. I totally understand I get sun burnt just standing in the sun for longer than ten minutes and my skin has gotten thinner from the sun so I know you are trying to protect there skin Ask a dermatologist if they have something better for your children. Cause putting makeup on babies is just as some see it. an out rage, some think it might make them grow up too fast. well I just know you are trying to protect there skin cause the skin blocks don't work for me either. Good Luck

I have been on this planet long enough to be able to say in all seriousness: NONE!
Assuming you mean make-up for girls, if some guy is only attracted to you because you are running around with make-up, or half dressed, HE IS A LOSER AND DOESN'T DESERVE YOU.
Don't be so impatient. There are many young women on YA who felt they needed to attract a boy NOW, and now they are trying to survive on modest incomes with a baby, and no way to further their education.
Dress modestly, eschew make-up, and you can avoid the losers who only want your body, and don't even take time to learn you are an intelligent person with a great personality.
On the other hand, if you are ornerier than a junk-yard dog, and stupid, find your local Sherwin-Williams store and buy that stuff in 5-gallon buckets.

None. Kids are growing up so fast these days and they aren't allowed to be kids like their parents were at that age. Girls are wanting to dress like Britney and Christina as young as 3-4 and their parents are allowing it. And then people moan about how kids look and act indecent at a young age? Adding makeup to that mix is no different.
If they want to experiment with makeup during their teens, fine. But until then, they don't need any.

If you don't mind, would you define "kids"? I am not sure of the age you are referring to. However, I do NOT believe in any facial or eye makeup before the age of 12, and only then at a bare minimum. My 10 1/2 year daughter wears clear lip gloss and that's it!!

Depends if you are under 16. If you are I think it's always fun to wear gloss & maybe the fun (very light) cheek stains. Otherwise if your older & want to start out with a foundation I would try a mineral one like L'Oreal Bare Naturale. Mascara, eyeshadow stick (for just a wash of color), a little blush or cheek stain & gloss.

Any kind. When I was a kid/teenager, I had such low self confidence and makeup acctually made me feel better so if makeup lets kids feel good then let them wear whatever they want. Just not too much makeup.
