I believe, that you are referring to "Strech Marks", which can be caused in a variety of ways. Pregnancy, probably, being number one. Gaining weight quickly and or gaining a great deal of weight. The skin stretches to accomodate the added girth. If the skin is dry, and or just in it's natural state, the skin is going to pull and separate, slowly, causing, the skin to create scarring type marks. If the skin is softened, by using an extremely deep penetrating type oil or lotion, it will help the skin to not pull and separate, quite so quickly. Continuing to use the cream and or lotion, during, and after the pregnancy, can and will help considerably. Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Emu Oil, to name a few. If there is a great deal of weight gain for a small and even average size woman, and all preparations are done to try and preserve the skin, there will still be most likely 'some' marks, but, it can be kept to a minimum.

They will fade over time and while theres not a cream that will make them disappear, i bought a cream from Avon a few years ago designed specifically for stretch marks and it made mine a hell of a lot lighter! they are very very faint now!

Stretch marks will fade over time, but they won't ever disappear completely, and there's no magid cream or lotion that will make them disappear.

There is a new product out called Bio Oil and I think it is about £8.50 and you can get in over the counter at pharmacies in the UK. Unsure about the rest of the world. It is for stretch marks and scars.

Do you mean stretch marks? If they're there then that's it. Maybe you can lighten them with vitamin E or aloe but I think it's pretty much set at that point.

Stretch marks, according to my dermatologist, can only be eliminated using lasers.

But if you want to minimise it, I suggest you use Cocoa Butter as your lotion every day. :)

cocoa butter is the best but there are products you can buy from the chemist especially for stretchmarks.
cocoa butter is also good to rub on skin if you've just bumped or knocked yourself, especially on children, if they've bumped their head, it stops swelling + bruising.
