I'm not asking why people write "&" im asking why they use the and sign twice or more in a row!

& is an ampersand that is used as a substitute for the word "and". I believe it originated in the days when the telegraph was the main method of communication and users were charged by the number of spaces used. & took up one space, "and" took up three.

because, this symbol "&"means "and".
this symbol "@" means "at".
this symbol " $ " means "dollars"
this symbol " # " means "number".
this symbol " % " means "percent".
there are many more & you should take the time to learn them.
