it took me two weeks to be fully cleared- but after a week it was better

CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is a great achievement. I did the same cold turkey 27 years ago and have never regretted it. Your food will taste better, your house will be cleaner, and your clothes will not smell with stale smoke. As far as coughing up mucus is concerned, I remember that lasting for a couple of months. BUT, just remember, every time you cough it up, you are making progress in breaking the habit. Just think of all that gunk in your lungs, now up and out.

That is just your body cleaning its self out. It will take a couple of weeks but hang in there, it will get easier.

Until the sillia, which is now functioning, removes all the crap from you lungs. It is dependent but a good thing.
