The boy was 9 yrs. old and was quickly excluded because they said he didn't have the strength (hand size) to slowly strangle someone. The police were not going to suspect anyone other than the in-house family.
Till today, I never heard they found glass on the basement floor sitting along side a suitcase by the window to outside. They had a photo of this and a shoe print. This is why the grand jury no-billed John and Patsy.

Burke Ramsey was considered a suspect. Momma put up a defense that there was someone outside who came in through a basement window (never proven) .

Burke was one who was not in the family spotlight. He didn't get the attention JonBenet did. It was Christmas, nothing was ever written of how the home was decorated, What presents were to be given to whom, Did Santa arrive to give gifts. So much too work on a boys mind. Could that and possible taunts from a little sister put him into a rage?

She was choked to death, A ribbon was used to choke JonBenet. the same type ribbon and stick used in the Olympics rhythmic-gymnastics (see www.olympic.org/rhythmic-gymnastics-equipment and-history) If the ribbon was wrapped around her throat and the stick was used (inserted into the loop around her neck and the stick turned, tightening the ribbon) a boy of 9 could have easily chocked a 6 year old or an adult for that matter. A lot of pressure can be the result of this method. In fact a similar method is advised to apply a tourniquet to an arm or leg to stem the flow of bleeding from a wound.

This is a means for Burke to kill his sister, did he have the motive, or was it a rash display of boyish anger?

BTW, at the time I lived in Boulder, and a lady in my dept at work was married to one of Boulders Detectives who worked the case. She never said much about it, I believe her husband never did tell her much. But I do know that the boy was suspect. And the DA had influence in the case.

I believe the cops have no idea and they didn't do their homework so they basically thought it was someone in the house so the whole family was suspects.
but what i find it weird though is that 10 years and bam they find the real killer and they said that he was a suspect for a couple of month. how can you find the killer 10 years without any new clues.
I think the cops messed up big time 10 years ago

That kind of situation IS possible. However usually when there is an unexpected death the first person(s) the police look toward are the people who were living with the deceased, which includes brothers and sisters, parents, grandparents, strangers living in the house, spouse. So he was a suspect because he was the brother.

To me the Brother is guilty because JonBenet was treated like a Queen and he was nothing. The parents got him out of the Country never to be seen or heard from again. Father was on Anderson show, this summer, and when he was asked about his son he said he's okay-didn't elaborate on what he was up to-which,to me, proved my point that the son was handled this way. 1 thing about parents when asked about their children they'll talk at least 2 or 3 minutes about them-not the Father

my personal analisis.murderers must have: motive, ability and, oportunity and knowledge to perpetrate a crime. The brother had all of the above.Motive: his sister got so much attention and recognition by the parents that he probably felt neglected and felt abandoned by the love of the parents.Ability.;even though some said he was not able to kill his sister because of his hands size, no test was performed to exclude the possibility.Oportunity;he knew everything about the home/house ,whereabouts of the parents, and habits of all in the home.Knowledge: not difficult at that age to be knowledgable of how to strangle someone, books, friends, many ways to explore the ways. The parents discover the occurance when they cant find the child. Not wanting to loose both children they decide to protect the one still living. They conspire and come up with the plan we all know(ransom note etc..)Father is the one who finds body and could have tampered with evidence upon finding and realizing what had occured. Lawyers hired to protect son and keep him far from investigation. Eventualy I belive the son will confess when his conscience will dictate.

He was a suspect the same way the parents were suspects.
The cops had no lead and you know in a very large percentage of murders its people close to home or people the family knew.

The cops had no real leads and in a situation like this, the family is always a primary suspect

I think they were looking at everyone in the house, because it was so weird that no one inside heard anything, and there were no signs of a break-in, and no footsteps outside in the snow. There have been children killers before - it wouldn't be that surprising. That was one disfunctional family. I still think it was someone in the house.
