Firstly, most people who do psychic readings of any kind do not refer to themselves as 'fortune tellers'. This is simply because they do not tell you what your future is, persay. Usually readings will talk more about the present and immediate future. I read tarot, and the things that usually come up are about the person I am reading for... as a person. What aspect of themselves is only causing them harm, and preventing them from advancing in life. Sometimes the cards give suggestions about ways to get past it, and sometimes I give the suggestions, LOL. Usually when someone comes for a reading they have a specific question or situation in mind that they want to hear about. The cards pick up on that and will show what is necessary for that person to see-- not what they WANT to see, but what they NEED to see. And oftentimes that is something that the person already knew but wasn't not allowing themself to or was ignoring. Tarot points out that you can't pretend like it doesn't exist anymore. You need to take steps to remedy whatever situation it is that you are so worried about, whether it is an internal or external step.
I absolutely believe in psychic readings because I give them! LOL It is an awesome gift to be able to truly give psychic readings. The ability to 'see into the future' or read tarot cards is a gift from a Higher Power given to us so that we can help others. I know that when I do readings (especially in person) that it's like I can hear a voice whispering in my ear what to say, or what that person needs to hear. And it is ALWAYS right. And, like I said, not always something the person wants to hear.
It's real, it's not Satanic. It's a gift from God. Jesus once asked his followers, "Why are you so impressed? You will do all these things and more...." (referring to healing others and psychism) and yet people still contend that it's evil. Jesus said himself that it is a gift, and I am saying so too from personal experience. Psychic abilities are very spiritual things. And very real.
Blessings and Light!

I think there is such a thing as intuitive insight, that lets you see into other lives. But I did have a kind of weird fortune teller experience.
I was trying to decide whether to take a job out in CA and thought why not get the fortune teller's insight? Went down to Venice Beach and this old lady grabs my arm and says, "You are happy, you belong here, I won't take any money from you" So we will see how it goes but I am going to CA.

I do tarot readings.
My cards and I do pretty well,
I like to leave things pretty open so I'm not saying things like
"you will meet your true love"-
I'm saying "a new person will be important in your life".
The cards can usually be read in different ways
depending on what groups of cards there are.
These two cards together mean something different
than that card alone, you see?
SO- fortune telling is really very open to interpretation,
I think you have to let the person getting the reading do
some of the interpreting for you. For instance if I draw the
Post-Apocalyptic Hero card, I have a set of meanings for this card, and will say things like "surviving a great trial", "inner strength". But if this person's Dad is a Vietnam Vet,
this card might symbolize him, and only the person getting the reading knows that and can help me get the reading right.
Anyway! Doing divination is a very flexible talent, with
lots of ways to make mistakes. A reading is only a snapshot
of the instant the cards are dealt. Many things change
in the very next minute.

There are fortune tellers that simply read tarot and tell you what they see "in the cards". That has varying degrees of success. Maybe none.
The fortune tellers who want money to take a curse off you are all frauds. Don't believe them.
I am sure there must be a very rare few that have some ability but chances are they won't see your future correctly if at all. It's a hit or miss type of proposition at the best.
Just don't take it seriously and you can have fun with it.

Fortune tellers...the only way to prove that they are psychic is by testing them about what your mind says. I obviously do not believe in them (I am Christian) and I do not plan on seeing any of them. If you tes them many times then there you have it.
God creates all the events and he created the past and the future. Psychics and God...they will never get along. They created their own little religion and they have been trying to turn us from God. Even punks have. Punks think religion is gay. Psychics think religion is not safe and that the spirit will someday haunt you. I have a deck of Tarot cards, I use them as stress dummies. I throw them around and stomp on them when I am mad, mad at psychics.

there is such a thing- but who is 'they' that 'say'?
I do know that you shouldnt trust in them- it is evil. they dont really know. they just speculate. there are other ways. try something good like hope, faith, and hard work to make your own fortune and goals come true. that is more of a sure thing than any stranger that wants to take your money.

pretend The suggestions are nicely time-honored, they are called 'chilly analyzing', 'Barnum Statements' and Hit counting. chilly analyzing makes use of a mix of physique-language and questions disguised as statements - human beings do no longer recognize only how plenty information they are freely giving. Barnum statements are statements that sound as though they are very particular, yet in fact are favourite and must be utilized to distinctive circumstances. Hit counting shall we the teller play a activity of 'twenty questions', following up any lead that gets a great reaction from the sitter, and is set via the sitter forgetting all the incorrect guesses and in basic terms counting people who appeared to make a fulfillment or connection. I as quickly as gave this variety of analyzing to a team of my scholars, and maximum mentioned it grow to be uncanny, and utilized to them very precisely. yet I had in fact given all of them precisely the comparable analyzing!

It is my personal opinion that there is no such thing. However, I do being those who dabble in the occult and have any sort of demonstrative "power" get it from one source only: satan.
