This is a non profit organization that builds housing for families that have lost their homes etc... due to disasters. This organization is supposedly called " Raul Day International Organization" out of The Netherlands.

I think this organization has contacted me too. The one for me sounded similar and had the same web page with all the same info for companies (scam ones of course) with different names. Copy a SMALL section of the wording from the website and post it into yahoo search engine (be sure to use quotes " on either end of the phrase) and see how many sites come up with the same phrase. Check out any site that does (when i did this there were at least 5 with the same info!) ...That in itself should give it away.

You can also try ripoffreport.com or simply type in the organization name and "scam" in a search engine. See what comes up.

Good luck.

P.S. If it says anything about money transfers chances are it's a scam. Stay farrrrrrrr farrrrrr away!

Yes the BBB can help. They try to stay current on the fraud and scams that make the rounds. You may also be able to get help from your local Chamber of Commerce or even the District Attorney. If there have been complaints about this group you should be able to find out with a little investigative work. I would definitely investigate before getting involved since they are from another country.

I don't think the better business bureau can help you with info on an organization based in The Netherlands. You can see if there is an equivalent business rating organization based there

there are many scams operating on the net and one needs to be careful and not get scammed!

Some widely used resources for checking them are the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) and the national fraud center (www.fraud.org).

These days, you can easily find out more about a company using the Internet in a few minutes. From a company's website, you can get details about its ownership, how old the company really is and feedback from the company's customers.

You can find more detailed information about a company at

all the best :)

I wouldn't trust the BBB to much. Let me explain. You have to pay to be a member. If someone is paying you money to be member of your organization, how likely are you to say the truth about them? That is the problem.

Check the net. Here are some sites:

www.ripoffreport.com
www.scambusters.org
www.epinions.com

Check with a Dutch embassy.

Try the BBB (Better Business Bureau), to see if the company is listed there.

Yes, the BBB. Put in their address or telephone number into the BBB website. It should pull something up.
