Overcrowded, poverty-stricken slums around Mexico City. Lawlessness because of corrupt police and politicians, children begging from tourists, fathers leaving their families to try to get a job and money in America because they have no options there, mothers left home alone with no husbands or fathers for their children, going for months and years without word from him. Pollution, ancient ruins of great cultures that have been decimated by foreigners for hundreds of years, and yet a proud culture that holds tightly to families, and we could learn from them, and we could help them.
