How would you know your brain washed?

2006-08-17 18:50:40 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

"Gosh Minkus, your question brought up some old memories!
Signs of brainwash are a sense of powerlessness, dread, guilt, confusion about what to think and how to act, undermined confindence in one's self, poor judgement in anything, fear of making decisions with free will and the worst ... believing and acting in ways that are destructive of our personal interests.
I'm not complaining, but, the US Army is tremendously skilled at brainwashing and I still bear the scars today.
The signs of "washing" are everywhere. Instead of copy and pasting I included, just a few, of the many sources that exist on this subject. Read um' and weep!"

When anyone is trying to severely limit / control someone else's contact with other people, that's a good sign. All the scariest cults don't let their members talk to people outside the cult etc. It's about controlling what ideas you're exposed to. If your'e not exposed to anything else, then you won't question what you are getting.

google cult churches. Its very hard to tell. Best thing is if everyone around you from your past says something you believe in or are doing is wrong..like your brothers, sisters, and mom, then your probably brainwashed.

Churches that are cults use the same techniques to get children molested. Its slow and unnoticible and you dont want to believe it happened to you. Its too good and you want it to be good, and you cant believe its bad. Listen to your family

If you have ever asked the question, "Is this something I *should* like (or be doing)," then you have been at least partially brainwashed.

Brain washing is very good and hard to put a finger on. Just compare whatever you feel about something to the majority of how other people feel and if there is brain washing it'll be clear.
