it appears that your homework assignment was to LOOK UP these effects

I don't think asking us counts as "looking up"

if you go down the halogens one by one starting with Fluorine (you can find them listed in the wickipedia article titled "halogens"

you can then look up each halogen to get toxic inhalation effects of each

inhaled Fluorine for instance, combines with moisture in your mouth, throat, and longs and becomes hydrofluoric acid, avery powerful acid that proceeds to disolve you mouth, throat, and lungs, it can kill you pretty quickly depending upon the concentration you breathe in

Halogen is a general term for a group of elements on the periodic table. Some of the halogens are in common cleaning products and some can kill you. If you were more specific I could tell you the effects of a specific few or just one.
