I am rebuilding the refigerator in my travel trailer. Among other things the chrome shelves are flaking. I would prefer to paint these instead of replating, it's the cost. I would like to know the best paint to use for the job. I like "Krylon" paints.
Thank You,

they have some tough paint out for redoing your washing machine and fridge, colors are correct for application, and hold up well with moisture from fridge, but you have to look where to find it, I was at a parts house when I first saw this product, supposed to work better then general spray paint

I have an old fridge and was told that you can not paint any of the inside surfaces with regular paint. #1 it will block the cooling effect on your food and #2 its bad for your food. You need to talk to a refridge person and they should be able to hook you up with some type of plastic coating which will also help your food not slide around while moving the trailer. It's like the coating you find on the shelving units when you are building a closet. Hope that helps.

No don't use Krylon as it stinks and so will your food.
Go to Home Depot or Lowes and look up a Plastic coating. or and Enamel paint. That's your best bet. You will repaint and then let it sit in the sun for a day or two SOLID to cure the paint and bleach the solvent smells out. Ask the HD guy for suggestions. Some actually know what they are talking about.

Any spray can paint you use will get scraped off sooner than later. Ask a body shop to spray a catalized urathane paint on it. This will last for many years.
