Hi - I just had a tummy tuck in July and I am very happy with the results.

I was an aerobics instructor before I had twins 3 years ago, so I know that diet and exercise are important and the best way to lose weight. But my stomach was SO OVERSTRETCHED after the twin pregnancy, that even after I lost all my pregnancy weight, people still asked me "when I was due" because I had this "pouch" that just kinda hung there. It was horrible. I was so disgusted with my body, that I put more weight on!

So, I looked into plastic surgery, and went to 2 consultations. Both doctors ironically said the same thing. My skin had lost it's elasticity and now was like an over-stretched rubber band; nothing would get it back to it's normal shape, except removing excess skin. My "flab" was all above my muscles, too, so a tummy tuck would really make a difference. I had hip liposuction done too to help make the contour more natural looking. Overall, I had only 5 pounds removed, but WHAT A DIFFERENCE! It's amazing.

Yes, the scar is big, but it is low, and lies under my bikini style underwear. I did not think the pain was bad, either. But plan on a solid two weeks for recovery - at least. You will be hunched over a little bit, but as your body "relearns" how to move with your new stomach, you get better. I also financed my surgery through Capital One Health Care, so see if you can do that, too.

Go see some plastic surgeons. They can look at your belly fat and tell you if a tummy tuck will help you. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact me! Hope this helps!

I thought about it and did extensive research. Then I decided it was not for me. First of all the scar is horrific, and I'm already self concious of my body. Then there are all of the potential side effects. You are undergoing surgery. This is very serious. You will never be the same again, and maybe not for the better. Everyone has to do their own research so make sure you do yours carefully and if you decide to do it, go with the best doctor you can afford. Personally, I decided to exercise and diet myself down to what I could live with and my husband is happy with it so far :) Good Luck

Get tummy tuck surgery in India.Cosmetic Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.

I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your cosmetic surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

my cousin got her breast reduction/liposculpture/buttoc... lift surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare.she is more than very happy with the results.she just paid 30% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.i personally have seen the wondeful results and am particularly impressed with the kind of quality care she got from this company.
